This is a great little neighborhood sushi bar and restaurant, but so much more. The owner is Faith Yamato, a stylish Japanese grandmother who greets all her guests and keeps the place jumping with the help of many of her offspring. The food is great, the sushi fresh and prices very reasonable. Eat at the sushi bar - our favorite, or one of the many tables. The only down side is that it is so popular and busy that there is sometimes a wait, but it is definitely worth it. There are many other sushi restaurants in our town, but none compare. People come from all over the Bay Area to eat at Kamakura.
