The food is decent Italian food, and the atmosphere isn't quite as casual as most of the nearby restaurants so it is appropriate for business lunches, dates, and formal occasions in addition to just meeting groups of friends. It is pretty loud at night, though, so take that into consideration.
The food is great and reasonably priced - under ten dollars - for lunch, but the dinner prices are somewhat high for the dinner menu, considering you are mostly getting just pasta.
