Dixie's has developed quite a following and reputation in the Seattle area. It's located in a converted auto repair shop. (It feels like they still handle a few auto repairs every now and then.) They serve up good southern barbeque at a decent price. To top it off the owner is usually roaming the place daring people to try his hot sauce. It's an absolutely fiery concoction that will leave you in pain if you take too much. Then again it also really doesn't have much taste. Guaranteed at some point during lunch the owner will get in a loud confrontation with some patron about just how much hot sauce they can handle. Which in turn usually becomes a spectacle for the rest of the people. The place is always packed at lunchtime so either go early or be prepared to wait.
