Recently I called Mahopac Electric to have have 5 thermostats installed. This is an easy and quick job, but one that my husband didn't feel comfortable doing. When I called I was told that it would cost about $180 to have done, which I thought was expensive but needed it done so I said alright. I already bought the thermostats so all I needed was for the electrician to install them. The electric came and brought an "assistant". The only thing the assistant did was hold the thermostat until the electrician was ready and then throw out the packaging. They were there for about half an hour. They then hand me a bill for $350 and tell me that its for having two electricians there. I was so annoyed, I paid the bill and afterwards wished I would have fought it. They totally took advantage of me and I would never recommend them to anyone.
