Overpriced and Terrible Service 8/22/2005

I love Aveda products and salons, so I was excited when I saw that an Aveda salon was opening in Frederick, a few blocks from my house. I was deeply disappointed once it opened, though. It's incredibly overpriced, I wasn't particularly pleased with my haircuts (and I tried three different stylists before I gave up on them), and worst of all, the MANAGER was rude and incredibly sexist: he said that he charged more for women's haircuts because women are "hysterical" and therefore harder to deal with. Treating customers like that, Strand will soon find that they won't have to deal with any more of us women; we'll go where we're treated with respect! more
