The jewelers at Grimball are some of the most kind and friendly people around. They give excellent advice, have fair prices, and good turn-around times on repairs. Having said that, I just wish the quality of workmanship was a little higher. I've taken several pieces of jewelry to Grimball over the years, and there seems to be a problem with every piece I take there--from a severe price underestimate for repair of a ring, to a bad batch of rhodium for plating a white-gold pendant, to failure to notify me when a piece was ready for pick-up. They're fine for run-of-the mill requests (watch battery replacements, jewelry cleaning, chain shortening, etc) but I might look elsewhere for bigger jobs.
