HCS provides visiting nurses, meals-on-wheels and other home health services. The agency also offers community services, including prenatal and child health services, the Castle Center for Adult Day Care, and Working for Wellness Program for people of all ages. HCS is a Medicare certified and state licensed agency, serving residents of Keene and southwestern New Hampshire. HCS also operates the Friendly Bus, specialized transportation for elderly and handicapped citizens in Keene, and City Express, public transportation in Keene. HCS is a United Way agency.
