Uzen does have a great atmosphere. It has the cozy feel of a neighborhood place, but they take care of the details - nice stoneware, decent (and often attractive) service - everything is quite aesthetically pleasing.
The atmosphere helps one to overlook the prices, which are a bit on the high end for a neighborhood sushi joint. That said, we've never had a bad meal there on probably about a dozen tries. The fish is always impeccably fresh and often generously cut. In my opinion, the best value at the restaurant is the scallop/salmon sashimi salad, which we order and highly enjoy every time.
