Vanilla Bean is by far the best bakery that I have found. Their fruit tarts, cakes and pastries are as delicious as they look. There is enough variety that everyone is sure to find something of interest. My favorite is their fruit tart with just enough sweet gelatin to hold everything in the moist crust. Vanilla Bean also sells wedding cakes and a variety of cookies. They have a second location in Troy, but at the Latham store you can sit down to a full serve dinner. If you choose to dine here, be sure to leave room for dessert, no matter how good their food is, its dessert that’s certain to be the best part of your meal!
