Pano’s is a run of the mill Greek Dinner. The food is not bad, but not that great either. The meats are overly tenderized; the Beef Soulvaki is particularly loaded with them. Some breakfast items are OK, but lack any real invention. The patio is nice. In many ways this is a destination spot for people from the suburbs when they come to Elmwood Avenue, which makes it less than attractive to those of us living in the city. The owner’s recent attempts to tare down the beautiful and historic Atwater House next door for expansion and parking has lead to a boycott by many in the neighborhood.
