The Champaign County Historical Society Museum is located in the northeast quadrant of town near the city park. Open regularly on Tuesdays, the museum is staffed by volunteers and hold special events, such as speakers, etc., throughout the year. Members (fee based) receive a newsletter. The Society also hosts an annual arts and crafts festival--Oktoberfest--the first Sunday in October on their front lawn.
