I heard about this place from one of my customers (she's a friend of my daughter's) that volunteered there one summer. I mentioned to her that I would like a small dog and she told me about Safe Harbor.
They take in stray cats and dogs, both sick and healthy, and nurture them until they are ready to be adopted. The animals are spayed and neutered and given all necessary shots. What I like most about this facility is that it has a no kill policy.
