This is a nice quiet area on the intracoastal. You can take a short stroll along the path or along the beach when the tide is low enough. There are basketball and sand vollyball courts, a picnic pavilion and an enclosed playground area.
The hurricanes made a mess of this park, downing a few big trees. It's been a few months since I've been there, but they were working on removing the trees when i was last there. I'm hoping by now they're gone.
The big drawback to this park is the insane amount of squirrels. People must be feeding these guys because when I tried to have a little picnic with my family, we spent most of our time shooing them away. The squirrels there are relentless!
