It is hard to find a nice inexpensive place to have an event in Connecticut, and Annex club has been a relatively inexpensive rental hall for some time. I have not been there for a few years, so it might have changed, but the last I heard, it is getting closer to the price you can rent a historic house for or a museum room. The good points is it has a full kitchen if you do your own catering or have friends prepare food for you, the bad news is you can see right into the kitchen, so if you wanted to keep secret that friends cooked for you, its not a secret. The sound equipment is REALLY good, every event I have been to here, everybody was up dancing. It can hold a larger party in one room, which is a perk over some rental facilities.
