This modern-looking church is the central church of the Diocese of Youngstown. For being established over 150 years ago, its modern appearance surprises visitors until they learn that the cathedral was destroyed by fire in the 1960s and had to be rebuilt. Modern cathedrals are rather rare, and makes St. Columba a must-see for anyone traveling through. Even residents of surrounding suburbs visit form time to time to see the church where may of their parents grew up.
