The Majestic Bay Theater, located in downtown Ballard on NW Market Street is truly a phoenix rising. The original Bay Theater was so run down that it was impossible to restore it, and was scheduled to be demolished and would no longer be the site of a neighborhood movie house. An investor came into the picture and from the ashes (literally, not figuratively) of the fallen Bay Theater, The Majestic Bay was reborn. It has three screens, is fully handicap accessible and friendly. The seats are comfortable and the movies shown are first run, usually with at least one selection for families. It is a wonderful neighborhood theater reborn. This theaters is a two thumbs up!
