A True Piece of Southern History 8/18/2005

Rowan Oak, the home of Wiliam Faulkner, is a staple of southern history in Oxford. Now owned by the University of Mississippi, Rowan Oak was just recently re-opened to the public after major restorations to bring it back to its former appearance, as it was when Faulkner was writing their. Rowan Oak sits on a beautiful setting, lush with tall trees and flowers. The house itself is wonderful. Free to students of the University, check out Rowan Oak the next time you're in Oxford. more
