In the 13 1/2 years of our last dog, Scruffy, we never left her with a kennel. We just couldn't bring ourselves to do it. She had access to the backyard all the time, and was fine being at home alone as long as somebody came in and fed and walked her (and snuggled a littled, too).We've only had Cooper and Kelly for 2 months (they were rescued), but we knew that wasn't going to be an option with them. So at the recommendation of a co-worker, we left them with you for the long weekend. I know it's flattering to have a dog go "insane" when they see you again, but it's actually a sign of pent-up stress. So I was REALLY happy to have both of them greet me licks, but otherwise very relaxed. They sat quietly in the backseat of the car like they usually do, then took a walk through the house -- and promptly laid down at my feet for belly rubs. Thanks again for taking care of them!
