High Hopes is a longstanding member of the shoreline community. It offers therapeutic horseback riding to mentally and physically challenged children and adults. These individuals interact, groom and ride the horses. The program is run at a beautiful location with indoor and outdoor arenas, and was chosen to host the 1996 Special Olympics for Equestrian.
I can't say enough good about the program. It is the most incredibly run nonprofit, and has a very strong volunteer program. Volunteers are needed for horse handling and walking, along with barn help, maintenance, administrative, etc.
