Thirft store JP style. 8/17/2005

This thrift store is great primarily for books. Check out the selection in the back. Many call JP the poor man's Cambridge -- and the books in the back are indeed surprisingly good. Paperbacks are quite cheap -- less than a buck, and hardbacks are quite reasonable. Blanket pricing for all books makes it easy to calculate. There's also clothes, but they look pretty ratty to me. Might be good if that's your thing. They used to have free condoms in bins up front -- haven't seen them lately. Bizarre household items, poor cd selection, way overpriced ancient electronics, overpriced beat-up furniture, for the most part. Very diverse crowd. Great for people watching. Definitely worth a stop. more
