Quality Music Program for Children 8/17/2005

Apparently, Mr. Colburn had a vision of starting music education from early children and develop into adulthood. I think that's why he's placed such an emphasis on providing programs for children. My daughter (2 years old) recently started taking a couple classes there exposing her to playing various small instruments, interpreting musical sounds into movement, singing songs, and playing on a grand piano with a master. Let me be clear. This is not a mommy and me-type class where your child bangs on drums and run around. This is a fairly controlled environment where the children sit when they are told, experiment with various small instruments for short periods of time and then sit again to listen to the teacher. Classes are very small so attention can be paid to everyone. Weekend classes are particularly competitive to get into as it's more popular. While I can only describe the classes we took, I highly recommend the school. Price is comparable to mommy and me classes. more
