Well, it definitely wasn't as cool as a Red Wings game, but it was very entertaining. There aren't a lot of places to have dinner around Van Andel arena that weren't packed with people, so get food elsewhere before heading down.
The crowd was energetic, the tickets a little pricey, and I certainly don't recommend the concessions based on price.
Parking was ample. There are covered tunnels to get everywhere that are above street level.
