I live midway between Piazza's and a Safeway, and when I need to run to the market for something I've forgotten, I've changed my Safeway habit and started shopping at Piazza's. Why? Well, they have a good selection of organic foods and specialty items that you don't see at a large chain, a great produce section, wonderful bread selections, and their deli is good. The only drawback is price, which is why I tend to do the bulk of my shopping elsehwere (TJ's, etc.) and hit Piazza's for treats and those last-minute things.
