The answer to that question was one I never pondered. Who gives gift baskets, I asked myself. Thoughts of mini-muffins and various fruit varieties made me wince at the idea of using a gift basket as....a gift.
Then I was introduced to Berlee's Fancies. They completely blew my idea of what a gift basket was right out of the water.

Also, the "basket" doesn't need to be an actual wicker basket; it can be anything that can have things stacked inside or on top of it. (Mini Radio Flyer wagons, for instance.) They can find just about anything via their lengthy list of suppliers.
I have used Berlee's Fancies for anniversaries, baby showers, corporate thank-yous, and even for raffle drawings. There are always "ooohs" and aaahs" from people who see the baskets.
The customer service is always incredible. The staff is always very personable and fun to work with. Though they may be putting the basket together, they work hard to show that it is *you* who had this gift created just for them.
The prices for gift baskets are also wide-ranging, depending on the type of materials used and how much of the product is provided. Some of the baskets are priced higher than what *I* would normally spend on a regular ol' gift. But, as has been pointed out to me, these are not regular ol' gifts. Still, Berlee's Fancies can work within any budget and still create a magnificent work of art that is sure to please.
I HIGHLY recommend you try Berlee's Fancies for any sort of gift giving...even if giving a gift to yourself.
