Coleman pool is a really unique pool in the Seattle Public Pool System- not only is it one of two public outdoor pools, it is the only public saltwater pool, AND it is located right on the beach at Lincoln park.
On a sunny day, this pool can be quite crowded with kids during the freeswim, and the lap swims seem pretty crowded on even the less than hot days. The water is generally pretty clean, but I have experienced days where it is quite murky. There is a plexi-glass wind shield between the pool and the beach, but on windy days the pool area can still be quite chilly.
There is a low dive, a highdive, and a water slide all available for use (with an additional payment) during freeswim.
This is a great place to go with kids, and there is a sizeable pool deck with lounge chairs for warming up and sun bathing.
