Schwartz & Schwartz, P.C (standing for Andrew D. and Richard S. Schwartz) provide CPA services high quality tax preparation services (mainly) and can also offer basic financial planning, payroll services, and some other services. Their business is built principally on physicians who, coming out of residency, have little understanding of the complex tax world they enter. I've used this firm for about 9 years or so, and basically they are great. They know the tax issues applicable to residents and physicians, including deductibility of various unreimbursed expenses (cell phone? Board review expenses?) and can readily handle the complexities of a physician/non-physician family where the non-physician may also have complex fincancial arrangements. Schwartz and Schwartz provide helpful reminders for prepaying taxes from self-employment and assist in tax prep through use of a straightforward information form each year. You fill it out, and they prepare a tax return from it. It is low-stress and their service has been without flaw for us.
