The Dallas Zoo is a great place to take kids or friends. It is a good zoo, even though all you ever hear about is the one in Fort Worth. It has all the animals you would expect to be at a zoo, even though they can sometimes be hard to find in their spacious environments. There is a monorail that is high up at one point, and you can ride it and effortlessly see many animals. The reptile area is especially good. There is even a children's area where the kids can both play and learn. It can get hot during the summer, but there are some places to eat indoors.
