I have an old VW Jetta. Other VW owners will understand why that means I head to the shop 3-4 times a year. I took it to Walter's for problems with my window and a check engine light. The repairs became very extensive and problematic and the owner, Tim, was very helpful in only doing work that I wanted to pay for.
Tim has a lot of experience working on Volkswagens. Prices are reasonable, though service is not done quickly. The shop is a little overrun with business, so sometimes a repair can take two or three days. The Baum Blvd center is very accessible by bus, so dropping the car off for service was not a problem. Don't expect to get your car back without a little dirt inside, though. The savings over a VW dealer are definitely worth a few minutes cleaning up later though.
