I tried Dillard's expecting a great down-home BBQ experience, and that's pretty much what I got. I'd heard really good things about the place and it lived up to everything I'd heard.
To be honest, though, I didn't care too much for the BBQ sandwich--it was a little greasy for my tastes--but the fried chicken was excellent. And I can't get over the carrot souffle. I know it doesn't sound great, but if you go to Dillard's you have to try it--it's a lot like sweet potatoe souffle--very sweet and a gooey, smooth, mashed potato texture with some brown sugar and cinnamon, I believe. I'd have that over dessert any day!
