Good quality Peruvian 8/17/2005

Fiesta is on Atlantic Street near the theaters in Stamford. It is a friendly , clean restaurant serving peruvian food. Peruvian food is a fusion of japanese, chinese & south american flavors, it is really delicious. Tamer folk should try the Pollo a la Brasa (a yummy rotisserie chicken) and the fried yucca. More adventurous souls should try Lomo saltado (a kind of beef stir fry but with latin flavors) or the Jalea Especial (an enormous platter of expertly fried seafood on a bed of pickled red onions) - heaven. Drinks I recommend Inca Kola (the most popular soda in Peru with a chamomile flavor) or chicha morada (kind of a sweet punch made from corn). Desserts include flan or alfahores (a kind of shortbread cookie with a dulce de leche filling) If you don't speak spanish no worries, they speak english. more
