Polk County and the surrounding area has a large number of horse farms, people who love to ride and people who see riding as a wholesome family affair. The Tryon Riding and Hunt Club supports these sentiments by maintaining riding trails and promoting equestrian events, classes and conservation of the area's countryside. The club sponsors the prestigious Block House Steeplechase Races, Tryon Horse Show, Any & All Dog Show and Tryon Riding & Hunt Club Horse Trials.
