Binding a custom made calendar 11/3/2006

Making my own custom made weekly calendar has been one of the best decisions I've made, but it took some effort and patience on my part. I printed up my own calendar pages, complete with custom notepad, time zone maps, holiday schedule, weights and measures, toll-free numbers and websites, friends and family information, personal information, weight and exercise tracker, etc. So I took my calendar to Staples for binding, thinking this would be a piece of cake. I was wrong. I filled out the form, gave them my precious calendar for them to bind. I had to wait till the next day to pick it up, which seemed like bad customer service to me since there were 3 employees behind the counter and all they were doing was gossiping, not working. But they assured me it would be a time consuming project on their part and I needed to come back the next day to pick it up. I went back the following day to pick it up and they had put the wrong binding on. It wasn't the one that I ordered on their form. The sales person asked me if I wanted it redone and I did. But the problem was I had to wait for him to photocopy my originals because they had the wrong holes drilled in them from the first binding. Amazingly, he had the photocopying and binding done in 15 minutes and he was the only one working behind the counter. Go figure. I was pretty miffed about the customer service at this location. The sales person could see I wasn't happy with how badly my order was handled, yet he did nothing to make it right with me. Nothing. I felt I wasn't a valued customer, just an inconvenience. more
