If you know someone who is in a hard time financially, Washington Avenue Family Center can help. They do a great job distributing donations. They have everything from food to clothes, to housewares and toys. As far as I know it is a free service, and the donations that they get are usually pretty nice. I have a friend who works there and they are always telling me about how it's working out. It's a great place to go if you are in need of something!
