Wentworth is definitely not a chain. They are a small ice cream shop in Hamden, CT and offer homemade ice cream that they have made for decades, out of the same shop.
Wentworth is known for their hot fudge and their flavorful ice cream flavors. They also have K9 Crunch, a dog friendly flavor that you can get to spoil your pooch should you bring them.
It's a small ice cream only shop which has a few tables to sit at, however is mostly a take-out place. They have a gazeebo around the back of the place where you can also sit on some picnic tables.
Their ice cream is terrific, but their prices have soared. Expect to pay almost $7 for a sundae.
