Lucibello's is a staple of New Haven's bakery. Their canolli's are what makes them popular and they are as authentic Italian as you can be.
They are located at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Olive Streets and their parking lot is average size. They can be extremely busy, so if you are going there first thing in the morning or after work, be prepared to wait.
During the summertime, they'll introduce their Italian ices -- vanilla, chocolate and lemon. The vanilla has chunks of vanilla bean in it, and you can smell it from a mile away.
Make sure you stop in and try some of their terrific baked goods.
