Akai Hana is the best Japanese food in Carrboro. It is in a central location, and it has a nice indoor space in addition to a Japanese outdoor patio. The sushi is great-- very fresh and a great variety. It is as good as sushi I've had in major cities. There is also a reasonable lunch special. The non-sushi entrees are a little less exciting and appealing, but they do exist for the non-sushi types. It probably isn't worth running here unless most people in your party want sushi though.
