Located on the outskirts of Troy, this restaurant offers quality Mexican food. This restaurant used to be located inside a hotel that was destroyed by fire in the late 1990’s, but luckily they were able to reopen in their present location. A second location is inside a hotel in nearby Piqua. The menu offers your standard Mexican restaurant fare, but El Sombrero does it well. I have never been disappointed with a dish. They also offer party platters, which were a huge hit with my guests at two parties. I also like to patronize this restaurant to thank them for helping the community. Every Thanksgiving they open their doors for a free traditional Thanksgiving dinner for anyone who wants to come. I think they even offer free Thanksgiving carry-out. I really like that this restaurant not only has great Mexican food, but has also overcome a fire and helps others. You will not be disappointed with El Sombrero.
