Violations of Consumer Privacy 4/21/2010

Bad: The fact that employees of Washington Federal Savings repeatedly shared personal information regarding my mortgage loan with a business associate who is not on the note. This clearly violates the Grahm, Leach, Bliley Act and the banks own Privacy Policy. Upon confronting the bank, they denied the incident and actually retaliated against me for attempting to protect my rights as a consumer.. Improvements: Integrity and accountability among the bank's employees. The courage to own up to mistakes and correct them rather than working to cover them up.. Other: Stay away from this company. Whatever the perceived benefits, they are not worth dealing with.. more
