Our dog Sadie is an Australian Shepherd so she sheds quite a bit and gets it all over the couch and in every nook and cranny of the house. Also, we have a yard that has some dry grass because of our lack of rain in Phoenix and any of it will attach to Sadie's fur like a magnet and be dragged into the house and get everywhere.
We have a new baby in the house, he is 3 months old and we dread the idea of him picking up everything that is brought into the house by Sadie. On top of that, we just simply don't have the time or expertise to groom Sadie like we'd want. Sadie was the baby of the family but now the baby is the baby. :) So we just wanted to get her groomed so we don't have to worry about as much when summer time rolls around.
We found Galloping Groomer when we did a search on the Internet for mobile dog grooming. They were the closest to us so we got a quote from them for $50-55 based on Sadie's weight (25lbs) and length of fur. The next opening was a week so we scheduled an appointment for the afternoon. The day of the appointment about 5 minutes past after the time they were to come and the groomer called just then to say they were running a little late. They showed up 5 minutes after that which was a great thing to do now matter how late you are running.
The woman that did the groomer was Cindy and she had a van where she did all the groomer and bathing on the inside. It took around an hour and Cindy even cut our bill to $45 because she didn't do a final trim. She did such a good job it didn't even looked like it was needed. So we were very thankful for the discount. Cindy was very courteous and had 20 years experience of groomer under her belt. Sadie looks great...everyone jokes that she is a fat little dog but under all that fur she is very trim and she looks just like she did when she was a puppy. Galloping Groomer is highly recommended.
