We recently bought an old house in Union City. So when were looking, we had to go to the Union City city office to get some information regarding construction permits etc. I haven't had a very pleasant experience dealing with people at city offices before. (Had to go to the Daly city office once). But to my surprise, the staff out there was extremely friendly. They gave us all the information we needed. Also, a few days later, I had to call the office for some property tax information and the lady on the phone was also very very co-operative. SInce we are first time home buyers, we did not know much about the different types of taxes that are included in the property tax bill. So I wanted to find everything out and the lady patiently explained everything to me...
