The Ford Museum is located close to downtown Grand Rapids and is quite nice. You enter into the gift shop and make your way into the life of Gerald Ford, who became president after Nixon resigned. The beginning of the museum covers his childhood and entry into politics, followed by his brief tenure as Vice President and the focus is on his presidency. There is a life size replica of the Oval Office during his term as well as a very cool interactive replica of the Cabinet room which you can actually sit in and view movies about the roles of the different members of the cabinet. Ford's cabinet included future political heavy-weights like George Bush Sr. (then director of CIA) and Donald Rumsfield (Sec. of Defense).
