The Michigan Historical Museum is a must see if in Lansing. It is attached to the Michigan Library and Archives and is within walking distance of the state capitol. The museum presents history of the state of Michigan chronologically starting with Native Americans and ending in the 1970's. Each era has an impressive 'set' whether a copper mine, or a WWII factory. There are lots of interactive exhibts for the kids and many documentaries to view. All ages will like this museum. It is composed of three stories, going up as you progress. They also have periodic special displays.
