Although this outdoor skating venue has its charms, this rink shouldn't be considered for those looking for serious skating. The rink itself is quite small and almost always crowded, and the ice surface is bumpy, cracked, and unkempt. Admission is pricey, the workers are often less than helpful (the rink still lacks a good skate patrol), and the music is quite repetitive. All that being said, this is one of the few outdoor skate rinks available, and given Washington weather, can't be expected to be as well-kept as year-round indoor arenas.
