I've stayed at the Monaco in Seattle, Denver, and Chicago and loved them all.
The best experience was Denver where I stayed in a suite. We got there in the late afternoon and checked in during the wine hour where people sat around the fire, many with their dogs (pets are allowed), talking and laughing and taking advantage of the chair massage they had set up .
The suite was bright and imaginatively furnished with elaborate drapery separating the living room and bedroom, it was very bohemian circus.
The standard rooms are also nice and I've noticed that the staff always takes the time to learn your name. Even if you're on a business trip, it makes you feel like you're having fun.
