What a View! 10/5/2006

We didn’t stay in the hotel, or eat in the restaurant, or enjoy drinks in the bar, but we did take a quick elevator ride up 55 stories to get a view from atop the Reunion Tower in Dallas, Texas. To go to the observation desk cost $2 for adults. It wasn’t a very popular tourist destination on a Tuesday mid-day – so we had plenty of room (and time) to enjoy the view. The inside of the observation desk area was sort of run down. The tower was built in the late 1970s and it doesn’t appear to have been updated since. But the view from outside was very nice. You could easily see the area where Kennedy was assassinated from this view. If you want something cheap to do and want to see views of the downtown Dallas area, then I recommend checking out the Reunion Tower at the Hyatt Regency.
