Colonial Williamsburg is a great place to go and spend a weekend. Admission is slightly high at $30+ a person, but there's lots to see and do for your money. All staff are in character and dressed as they would have dressed during the colonial era. The employees are friendly and the food is good. Also, if you choose not to spend money for admission, you can walk through the grounds for free - you can't go into any of the exibits, but it makes for a nice leisurely stroll anyhow. If you're at all interested in early American history, Colonial Williamsburg is a great choice.
