When we were faced with a child having to have surgery, I was so thankful that Vanderbilt hospital was close by. This state of the art teaching hospital specializes in all areas (chemotherapy, pediatrics, orthopeadics, pulmonology, cardiac, just to name a few). The university offers a great education for the medical students too.
