I love Nature's Own. I visit this store every time I go to Old Town. It has beautiful rocks, polished items made out of rocks, puppets, books, instruments, and many miscellaneous, educational items to look at. You are bound to find something in your price range. I'm sure this store would excite kids to learn more about nature (it works for adults). There's a ton of things to look at, the store is pleasant inside, and the staff is happy and friendly. I highly recommend this store.
