mastodon state park 8/11/2005

This state park and museum has a important archaeological site where mastodon bones were discovered. These were big hairy elephant looking animals from around the time of the ice ages. They have a lot of interesting information and they even have a life size replica of a mastodon skeleton. They also have hiking trails and picnic areas. This is really an interesting place to visit. more
