The last time I went to the zoo was October for boo in the zoo. They had costume competitions for all ages of kids and zoo employees handing out candy. They also had many fun crafts to do.
The zoo is a perfect size for toddlers so they are not walking so long. Our daughter loved it. They also have free Wednesdays. I have not yet been there for that but apparently on wed, the kids gets in for free. Call them for details first just in case something has changed.
